We are operating a limited beta at this time. If you will tell us a bit more about your application, we'll do our best to help. The Generally Available (GA) version of the product will appeal to a wider set of use cases.

This beta version is really optimized for the following:

• Fast storage: NAS, SAN or cloud storage like Amazon's EBS are ideal. The GA will version will support PC-based storage as well, but shared-disk databases perform much better with fast storage.
• Latin Character Sets Only... so far. We will be adding UTF8 support for double-byte character sets by GA, but not yet, sorry.
• Clusters: If you run on a single database server, we are not your ideal choice. If you want to run 2, 4, 7, 12 database nodes, then we have the perfect database for you.
• Ideal Use: OLTP Applications
